Second Harvest Heartland is a food bank and so much more, with team members serving in roles from volunteer leaders and operations staff to business analysts and fundraisers. We offer a range of positions, from entry-level to seasoned managers, with compensation packages that value our team members and the important work they do every day.
The transportation team delivers food and exceptional customer service to our food shelf and community partners and makes safe and timely pick-ups of donated products from local retail donors.
The warehouse team supports food bank operations by pulling orders for pickup and delivery, loading and unloading cargo, and placing products in proper storage locations alongside other operations and transportation team members.
The administration and customer service teams provide essential assistance to the entire organization by ensuring all individuals and visitors at Second Harvest Heartland feel welcome.
Volunteers help the organization run smoothly as we work to feed our hungry neighbors. Volunteers work alongside staff on a variety of administrative tasks such as front desk greeters and office or mail assistants. They help welcome visitors into the building, receive donations, scan documents, restock office supplies and prepare outgoing mail.
