Senior Park Activity Leader

Supervise and provide recreational experiences for youth participating in the summer playground program and youth athletics programs in St. Louis Park.

Position is seasonal and runs June - August 2023, working 30-40 hours per week.

Provide recreational experiences for children ranging from 4 to approximately 12 years of age. Interact with children through games, crafts, and sports.
• Supervise children on weekly offsite field trips.
• Verify that forms and fees collected at the park are properly completed and turned in promptly.
• Provide supervision and discipline for children in recreation programs to ensure their safety.
• Attend weekly staff meetings/athletic practices and games on time with necessary materials.
• Attend preseason orientation and post season evaluation meetings.
• Enforce and comply with covid-19 procedures and restrictions.
• Plan weekly activities and crafts based on set themes and develop creative ideas to add variety of program offerings for children.
• Provide supervision and direction of park activities leaders and junior leaders.
