Job Description

 

After a staff-driven reimagining of organizational goals and structure supported by consultants from Racially Conscious Collaborations, the City of St. Louis Park is pleased to accept applications for a racial equity and inclusion director. Reporting directly to the city manager, the REI director will develop and implement a strategic plan and assist departments in creating goals to address the citywide priority for advancing racial equity. The REI director will provide leadership and direction to support measures that break down barriers in creating a more just and inclusive community for all and serve as coach and provide training and development opportunities for the city manager, council, boards/commissions and staff to build capacity for ongoing work in racial equity.

Two additional FTE’s are approved in this division and the REI director will be responsible for developing roles and responsibilities for future staff.
