Lifeguard

Provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all pool users utilizing prevention methods and enforcement of all pool safety rules, assist in maintaining pool health standards and general pool appearance and provide emergency and first aid assistance.

Position works 10-40 hours per week, and runs from May - September 2023. Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends & holidays as needed.

• Enforce all pool safety rules, regulations and policies in a professional manner.
• Attend all mandatory staff meetings and in service training sessions.
• Supervise pool deck and swim areas, being alert to swimmers who may need assistance.
• Provide first aid as needed, following all established first aid procedures.
• Accurately complete accident and incident reports.
• Portray a positive and professional attitude to the public.
• Patrol pool, locker room, and bathroom areas and perform light maintenance duties: including daily cleanup of pool deck area, daily stacking of pool deck chairs, set up and take down of inner tubes, and maintenance of lost and found items.
