Job Description

IOCP is hiring an Early Childhood Therapeutic Case Manager to ensure children attain key developmental milestones as they grow and enter Kindergarten supported by ready families, ready schools and a ready community. This role will address the social emotional & mental health needs of parents, help strengthen parent-child relationships and the ecosystem surrounding kids and families. This is more than just a job. A Peek at What You’ll Do

  • Provide therapeutic case management services such as biopsychosocial assessment, goal setting, advocacy, connecting to resources, crisis response, safety planning, counseling and coaching, documentation, and evaluation.
  • Provide psychoeducation on mental health, challenges of parenting, child development, trauma, and its impact on parent-child relationships in individual, family, and group formats.
  • Collaborate with other agencies (childcare providers, school districts and mental health partners) to meet the social-emotional and mental health needs of families and kids.
  • Deliver services at IOCP’s facility, in the community and via home visiting.
  • Facilitate support, community building and psycho-educational groups for parents and families.
  • Support the coordination of community events for families with young children.
  • Additional duties as listed in the position description.

Requirements You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree or other graduate degree in one of the behavior sciences or related fields (social work, marriage & family therapy, psychology, counseling).
  • Pursuing licensure in one of the above categories.
  • Extensive knowledge of early childhood development, systems as well as public and private resources in early childhood to support the success of early learners.
  • Knowledge of mental health and common treatment modalities including but not limited to family systems, attachment, trauma-informed, person-centered and strengths-based.
  • Minimum of two years related experience in delivering mental health services.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, and ability to work within a team.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence with a focus on inclusion.
  • A commitment to advocating for people living in poverty and social justice work.
  • A deep commitment and passion to Interfaith Outreach’s mission and work.
  • Occasional evening hours required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
