Five years related dispatching experience or related public safety experience
Knowledge of State and Federal laws, regulations, codes and ordinances relating to dispatch and public safety matters
Ability to manage resources effectively and within budget constraints
Ability to effectively communicate with people from all cultures and backgrounds
Demonstrated cultural competence and comfort with supporting the city’s strategic objectives for advancing racial equity.
Ability to use computers, software and equipment in overall operation
Experience working with the public and resolving complex complaints
Ability to physically handle the essential duties and responsibilities of position in working with high stress/emergency situations
