Make an impact!  Interfaith Outreach is looking for candidates for a Client Services Coordinator position within our Client Services team.  This role is full-time (40 hrs/wk, benefits eligible), which will include one or two early evenings per week.


What you will do: The Client Services Coordinator supports a welcoming and inclusive experience for clients and other stakeholders as they come into the Interfaith Outreach building, ensuring trauma-informed services that respond to the visitors’ needs as they initially engage with services. The Client Services Coordinator specializes in welcoming clients into the agency through conducting Client Intakes and Referrals. The work will be done in close collaboration with multiple departments, staff, volunteers and interns. This roll will be responsible for:

Managing Client Services Intake and Referral Process


  • Conduct client intakes with a focus on inclusion and quality data collection through a trauma-informed practice; describe our services, collect information, assess presenting needs, provide information about external resources and referrals to internal program teams and answer questions about our services and program processes
  • Train and support volunteers and interns to conduct client intakes
  • Manage client intake administration
  • Uploading documents collected at intake
  • Data entry


Front Desk Operations


  • Co-manage and staff the front desk during business hours
  • Welcome clients, volunteers, donors, partners and other community members to our building


Intern/Volunteer Management

Engage interns/volunteers in meaningful work; provide regular supervision and timely support for interns/volunteers to provide client-centric services

A successful candidate will be someone who (1) is highly skilled in meeting people where they are at while delivering high quality services in a culturally-responsive and trauma-informed manner, (2) thrives in a varied work environment that requires agile problem-solving skills, and (3) has advanced technology skills.

Schedule requirements:

The Intake Specialist will work on-site at our location in Plymouth, MN. Must be willing and able to perform essential job functions through in-person, face to face contact as required, in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Hours will generally take place Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with the potential for some early evening hours.



Required Qualifications:


  • BSW or BA in a Human Services field
  • Experience in a human services setting
  • High level of computer proficiency
  • De-escalation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to equity and inclusion and ability to excel in a diverse environment
  • Capable of relating to and advocating for diverse client needs and interests
  • Ability to creatively problem solve and complete complex tasks
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a team environment


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Advanced degree in related field
  • Experience supervising staff or volunteers
  • Bilingual in English Russian, Spanish or Somali
  • Experience in office management
