PROGRAM SUMMARY:

RJCA is the Minnesota lead organization partner of the TRUST Network. The TRUST Network is a collaborative network of community mediation organizations who work together on a national, local, and neighborhood level towards the prevention and mitigation of violence, in the pursuit of positive peace. The TRUST Network aims to build a national cohesion and peacebuilding infrastructure for the US, that includes an Early Warning Early Action System to prevent violence. The primary focus at RJCA is to coordinate resources, partners, and a social media platform to provide awareness of and build the network in MN.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordinating the expansion of the TRUST Network. Current efforts are focused on Minneapolis and Twin Cities efforts through outreach, research, building relationships, and collecting resources that expand the knowledge of community activities in MN that support the efforts of preventing, disrupting, and addressing violent community conflict. This position assists the MN TRUST Network leadership cohort by coordinating regular meetings, maintain and organize meeting minutes, and complete social media activity reports in a detailed and timely manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant include:

Work in close relationship with the Executive Director of RJCA

Maintain relationships with the other leadership cohort team members, community partners and community members involved in the TRUST Network

Maintain all administrative responsibilities for the MN TRUST Network of RJCA

Maintain and update RJCA Facebook page with events and activities within the community from organizations partnering with, and under, the TRUST Network

Compose weekly emails to check-in with leadership members

Research community organizations and activities that align with TRUST Network goals

Maintain and expand resource and partner list

Research communication platform for TRUST Network

Generate and provide reports regarding events connected with the TRUST Network and community partners, as needed

Other duties as assigned

 
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Competencies/Experiences:

· Understand and possess the ability to work for the mission and purpose of the RJCA

· Ability to work in partnership with other leadership partners in the TRUST Network

· Effective communication skills, critical thinking, collaboration with others.

· Effective oral and written skills

· Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, focus on details.

· Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Google Docs, RJCA database
